SEA TURTLE LIFE CYCLE.

This week in writing we have been learning about how to do report writing.
we had to choose and animal and come up with a rhetorical question and research all about it my rhetorical was have you ever wondered the life cycle of a sea turtle? have you well keep on reading because i will explain exactly how it works. A rhetorical question is something you ask yourself and you answer it. the things i found tricky was the reaching because most information didn't really focus on the sea turtles life cycle it will talk about how big they can grow up to and stuff. Did you no that Sea turtles have special glands which help remove salt from the water they drink.

 Sea turtle
HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED THE LIFE CYCLE OF A TURTLE?
Well… firstly the life cycle all starts of when a female lays its eggs on a nesting beach , usually in the tropics. They usually have about 50 to 200 eggs. The eggs will hatch From six weeks to two months.

Secondly tiny hatchlings brakes through their shells and makes there way to the surface of the sand.
for the first time the hatchlings makes their way to take their first swim in the sea the baby's normally do this at night to avoid animals who might want to eat them like crabs & birds once the baby's reaches the water it swims nearly non stop to escape the shore if a baby sea turtle survives its trip to the open ocean it gets  caught in the current and float around for miles feeding on algae and seaweed.

Thirdly as the sea turtle grows older and gets stronger it returns closer to the shore to finish growing this can take years. As sea turtles reach adult age they head to the breeding grounds to mate mating season takes place from march to october then the males head back to the feeding area and the females go back to the beach to lay their eggs most females go exact beach to where they hatched. Then the same process happens all over again.

In this explanation i have told you what was the life cycle of a sea turtle explaining from a egg to a baby to a adult.

PICK A PATH STORY!

this week we have been learning about how to write a pick a path story, a pick a path story is when you chose how you want the story to be. but we were also learning about solar system and matariki so we had a choise if we wanted to make our pick a path story about solar system or matariki so our group decided to do matariki. The things i found difficult were having to make the story different instead of the same. Maybe in your spare time you should check out my friends blogs who were in my group.http://kpsparisb.blogspot.co.nz/ & http://kpsrangimarier.blogspot.co.nz/ happy bloggging (:
